Net Earnings of HP

In fiscal 2022, HP experienced a decline in its net sales and income. The net sales of the company declined by 1% in 2022 compared to the prior year. However, its net earnings declined by a little above 50% in 2022 compared to the prior year. HP experienced a decline of $3300 million in its net earnings in 2022 compared to 2021. The total net earnings of the company in 2022 were $3,203 million against $6,503 million in the prior year.

2021: HP’s net earnings grew by more than 220% in 2021 compared to the previous year. Its net earnings in 2021 were 10.2% of the net revenues compared to 5% in 2020. The company generated $6.5 billion in net income in 2021 compared to $2.84 billion in 2020.

During fiscal 2020, HP’s net earnings were down to $2.84 billion from $3.15 billion in 2019.

Net earnings of HP rose to $5,327 million in 2018 from $2,526 million in 2017.

HP is a leading global provider of personal computing and other access devices, imaging and printing, products, and related technologies, solutions, and services. The company sells to individual customers as well as small and medium-sized businesses and large enterprises.

The customers of HP are also from the government and the health and education sector. HP Inc was incorporated in 1947. The separation of HP and HPE was completed in 2015. Hewlett Packard and Hewlett Packard Enterprises became two separate companies after that. HPE includes HP’s former enterprise technology infrastructure, software, services, and financing businesses. In fiscal 2020, HP’s net revenue remained $56.64 billion.

After the separation Hewlett Packard company changed its name to HP Inc. The brand has achieved some serious growth since it separated from HPE. Having overtaken Lenovo, HP has become the biggest PC maker of the world. In 2016, the brand acquired the printing business by Samsung which has also helped it gain momentum. However, given the decline experienced by the PC and printing businesses in the recent years, HP has acquired some impressive strength.
