Inditex has seen a lot of growth and expansion internationally in the recent years. Apart from physical retail stores, it has also introduced e-commerce in several key markets.  ZARA’s 7475 stores were operational across 96 markets in 2017. While the number of company owned stores reached 6420, that of franchised stores reached 1,055 in 2017. Last year (2016), the total number of stores was 7,292. In the first half of 2018, the number of stores has reduced to 7422. Inditex is operational across 96 markets and 49 online markets in 2018.

Inditex is the parent company of ZARA, the famous and fast expanding fast fashion brand. Inditex is the largest and the leading fashion brand of the world with a remarkable presence globally in the key markets. It owns several fashion brands including ZARA. The success of Inditex can be attributed to its integrated business model and its excellent supply chain management as well as its passion for creativity. It has grown its retail network vastly in the recent years. Apart from its 7475 retail stores, the brand is selling globally in 47 markets through its online channels.  In 2017, it rolled out its e-commerce platform in key markets in Asia. Other brands owned by Inditex include Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterqüe. ZARA accounts for the largest part of Inditex’s revenue and is the oldest brand by Inditex.
